Shanaz Ikonne

LPC, RPT

You may look like you have it all together, but inside, you’re overwhelmed, anxious, and carrying more than anyone realizes. Whether you’re navigating motherhood, burnout, grief, or a major life transition, therapy can be a space where you finally exhale.

I specialize in working with adults and women experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions, including perinatal and postpartum mood concerns, parenting stress, and hormonal shifts such as perimenopause and menopause. I also work with children ages 4+ using developmentally appropriate approaches for play therapy, expressive arts, and sand tray that support emotional expression and regulation.

My approach is holistic and integrative, blending talk therapy with somatic and experiential modalities such as sand tray and expressive arts. Together, we focus not only on understanding your experiences but also on helping your nervous system feel safe again.

Before becoming a therapist, I developed a deep understanding of how stress, trauma, and life demand impact both the mind and body. My work is rooted in helping clients move from survival mode to a place of clarity, connection, and emotional steadiness.

I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to support your needs and schedule.

My clinical work integrates trauma-informed care, somatic-based approaches, and expressive therapies, including sand tray and mindfulness practices.

I am committed to ongoing professional development to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
