Brenda Andrade
As a bilingual, multicultural therapist, I offer a counseling experience that is deeply personal, compassionate, and shaped by my lived experience and cultural roots. As a Latina, my family culture and heritage guide how I see the world and connect with others. Growing up in a bicultural household in the U.S. taught me how to navigate multiple identities and hold space for both grief and resilience. These experiences allow me to deeply understand the emotional complexities of transitions, identity, and belonging—and I bring that understanding into every session.
Education and Training
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Lamar University, where I built a strong foundation in trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care. My professional journey began in schools and grief centers, walking alongside children and families facing big changes and deep emotional pain. It was there that I found my heart’s work: holding space for healing, rediscovery, and growth during life’s most tender moments.
Over time, I’ve pursued additional training in grief and loss, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. I also draw from relational-cultural theory, somatic practices, and attachment work to support mind-body healing. My approach is warm, integrative, and always shaped by your unique story. I believe therapy is not about fixing what’s broken—but about remembering your strength, reclaiming your voice, and reconnecting with your wholeness. You’re not alone—and I’d be honored to walk this part of the journey with you.
