The pattern of peace, conflict, and restoration is a natural cycle in our daily lives. Yet, we are often not taught the skills of how to navigate this natural process and to return to a place of peace. Counseling will gently guide you back to the harmony you seek.
For the past 15 years, my job as a bilingual (Spanish) special education teacher in the Austin public schools supported children and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I helped students navigate emotional and behavioral challenges and learned the importance of creating spaces where both the children and their parents felt understood, respected, and genuinely heard. I am grateful to continue in a helping role here at Austin Bilingual Therapy.
My vision for your healing and continued mental health begins with the understanding that you already possess the power to initiate and maintain true change. Whatever your struggle—loss, grief, disconnection, feeling stuck, overwhelmed—I feel you have the internal ability to move towards a more present way of living. My role in your journey is to create a safe, understanding, and uncritical environment so that you may return to your most authentic self.
As I transition from one helping profession to another, I welcome your feelings, and I am honored you are allowing me to learn from you and to support you in your healing.
We are your companions on your journey back to your own version of peace. Thank you for this opportunity.
